Creative Spring is a new one day ‘pop up’ event for companies to showcase new interior trends and products. We had a ‘full-house’ of 18 exhibitors housed at Impossible in Manchester – a great location with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We attracted professionals from the Commercial Interiors and Property & Construction industries, covering hospitality, workspace, assisted living, hotels, and education. It was great to see so many people attend and whilst we didn’t get chance to speak to everyone notable mentions go to AXI, Studio Henderson, AFL, OVO and CBRE in attendance.

Visitors came to view (and touch) new and innovative product ranges from many sectors including acoustics, fabrics and textiles, flooring, interior furniture, lighting and surfaces – we hosted some well known brands as well as some newer kids on the block.

G-SMATT showcased their transparent, construction-grade glass – a very cool product that allows you to put moving images on windows, floors, ceilings, and custom structures.

Buster + Punch brought some super cool products ranging from the humble light bulb, dimmer switch through pendant lamps to the door handles, they transform everyday functional fittings into extraordinary home details.

Fusion Surfaces demonstrated their self-adhesive architectural film which covers most surfaces including furniture, walls, doors, bars, ceilings, partitions and much more. Offering a range of high quality, architectural wrap and window films with the aesthetics of real material

Coat Paints are a sustainability focused paint brand. They have their own eco-formulation, recycled packaging, sustainable logistics, operations and eco-accessories.

The Ted Todd Group chose the event to launch their brand new, fresh out of the box Karta Floors.

A shout out goes to Egger not only brought their products to showcase but also brought beers from their brewery, along with bee bombs for all to take home. These went down well with with everyone… our bee bombs are already in place waiting for the bees, such a great initiative.

Design Social North are proud of our relationships with local universities and once again we had students from the University of Salford and Sheffield Hallam volunteering as part of the DSN team on the day. We also had students and lecturers from Huddersfield and Derby University in attendance. Learning about products, materials and specification, as well as meeting people from within the industry is really important for design students, helping prepare them for future roles, choose and specify the correct products for projects, and also talking to their peers.

If you couldn’t make it to our Creative Spring event don’t worry, we’re back in July with Design Festival North, 12-14th July… 3 days of design goodness across Manchester and at our Design Hub located at The Castlefield Rooms (Dukes92 ). Be sure to register for free and take part in Manchester’s best interiors and architecture based showcase event.
