After what was literally a year of waiting (thanks Covid) Design Festival North finally happened in July 2021 and it was worth the wait.
There were over 30 design-led companies exhibiting across Manchester at the 3 day event. This was via a mix of showrooms (Assmann, Boss, Telegraph, Porcelanosa and Connection) and then at our ‘Design Hub’ located at Impossible on Peter Street.
Despite being in the last week of the government’s covid restrictions our team made sure all venues were safe and we attracted a great mix of architects, designers, operators and developers from across the North of England – all excited to be back ‘out in the wild’ and able to catch up with each other, and to meet potential new suppliers. The weather was also kind to us (it almost felt like how a summer should do) which allowed a free flow of visitors to all showrooms.
The showrooms all had their own events taking place across the 3 days of Design Festival North, most noteably over at the Assmann showroom they had a Bratwurst and Beer evening (what’s not to like!), and a very enjoyable Terranium making class.
Back at the Design Hub there was a selection of interesting presentations from exhibitors in our ‘spotlight events’ – the Workplace Wellness talk was a particularly busy affair with an informative presentation from Maria Mander of The Growth Company.
