Back for another year Design Festival North happened in July 2022 and it was worth the wait, coming back bigger and better!
There were over 30 design-led companies exhibiting across Manchester at the 3 day event. This was via a mix of showrooms (Assmann, Boss, Telegraph and Connection) and then at our ‘Design Hub’ located at The Castlefield Rooms.
We attracted a great mix of architects, designers and developers from across the North of England, even some from the very North and South of the UK!! – all excited to catch up with each other, and to meet potential new suppliers and products. The weather was also kind to us which allowed a free flow of visitors to all showrooms, and making use of the fantastic Dukes 92 outside space!
The showrooms all had their own events taking place across the 3 days of Design Festival North, notably over at the Assmann showroom there was a Clay pot making class, CPD’s and Sustainability talks from the partner businesses who had their own pop-up’s at this showroom.
Back at the Design Hub there was a selection of interesting events from – A Virtual reality experience, Workplace Wellness ‘on chair’ Massages, a really informative Imposter Syndrome workshop with Skills For Growth SME Support’s – Maria Mander, A collaboration with Modern Woman saw a great panel discussion on Diversity and Inclusion. Finally Day 3 was all about Good Vibes and fun where we had companies battling it out with our Lego Challenge! (who knew things could get so competitive with Lego!)
