Our Winter Wreath making workshops, hosted across 3 nights in Manchester (and attended by over 80 people), were great fun… well and truly putting everyone in the mood for the festive season.
Each night different companies joined us in hosting, and invited guests along to get creative and take on the wreath making challenge (and have a laugh or two) with them. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with one another in a very relaxed, non-networking kind of way, just how we like it here at DSN.
Companies that hosted were:
- Ocee Design
- Tarkett
- Mosa Tiles
- Chelsom Lighting
- Project FF&E
- O’Connell East
- Telegraph Contract Furniture
- Cosentino
- EFG Furniture UK
- Delta Light
- Atkinson & Kirby
We pitched up at Huckletree in Manchester for the 3 nights and took full advantage of their super funky event space – yes we made a bit of a mess but hey everyone had fun and that’s what counts right?!
The beers and proseccos were flowing throughout each evening and we chose Crazy Pedros to keep everyone well fed. Their pizzas are so delicious – they got demolished every night. If you’ve never had a one of their pizzas get yourself over there – we definitely had the Muncheese that week (if you know you know).
As part of the package Design Social North put together for these Winter Wreath making corporate evenings there was expert tuition from our professional florist and her team. All the components were provided and everyone was shown (and guided) on how to make a wreath.
With 80+ of the North-west’s Design Community in attendance there was a great variation in the finished products – all very creative and unique, with no duff ones in sight. Not only did they all look amazing they smelt fantastic too – using fresh moss, spruce and a multitude of different dried adornments and feathers our guests outdid themselves. We’re sure some people got odd looks making their way home on public transport with a wreath in hand but who cares when they looked that good.
After much laughter, creative sparks, strange pizza cravings and pine needles everywhere everyone went home with a smile on their face, and a festive spring in their step.
